An Evening at Camp: Skye Farm Foundation Dinner

Tickets are on sale now for the Skye Farm Foundation’s 3rd Annual “An Evening at Camp” dinner! This year’s dinner is on Saturday, April 18th at Shenendehowa UMC, with doors opening at 5pm.
This year’s menu will feature main dishes of lasagna, pasta alfredo, and pesto vegetable pasta, with allergen-free options available. We'll also have an assortment of camp-favorite desserts, including cranberry crud, dixie delights, no-bake cookies, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and gingersnaps!
We'll also be enjoying live music from some familiar Skye Farm faces as well as Harold Shippey's band, the Schroon River String Band!
NEW this year, we will be offering takeout dinner tickets in addition to the tickets to the in-person dinner. Takeout meals will be available with advance ticket purchase only, and can be picked up between 6pm and 7pm on the night of the dinner.
2nd Annual Skye Farm Foundation Golf Tournament

Registration is open now for the Skye Farm Foundation’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 7th! Join us for 9 holes of golf at the Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, NY, and/or support the event with your business and sponsor a tee, a contest, or more. We'll be doing a shotgun start, scramble format, with "closest to the pin" and "longest drive" contests and a variety of prizes. Registration starts at 1pm, followed by 2pm tee time, and a 5pm casual dinner reception.
Your support of this event will help Skye Farm continue to fill kids’ summers with smiles, friendship, adventure and loving Christian community. We sold out this event last year, so be sure to register soon!
Summer Staff Hiring Update
While many of our summer staff positions for 2026 have been filled, we are still accepting applications for:
male counselors (17+, starting at $330/week)
lifeguards (one 17+position remaining, starting at $330/week)
waterfront director (21+ with lifeguard management experience, $600/week)
Counseling staff get to experience the joy of camp alongside their campers, supervising, facilitating, and participating in camp activities with their small group of campers. Counselors receive extensive training to work hands-on with kids, sleeping in cabins with no more than 6-8 campers and working together with a co-counselor and other program staff throughout the week. It's an incredibly rewarding job, and helps staff grow valuable skills in leadership, problem solving, and more.
Lifeguards at Skye Farm play a very important role in keeping campers safe while swimming and boating at camp. Outside of lifeguard duties, they serve as part of our program staff, joining campers and counselors for other activities when not on the waterfront. Lifeguard training and recertifying for summer staff is available if needed. A full lifeguard course will be offered for summer staff June 10-13 at one of our sister camps, Sky Lake, in Windsor, NY.
If you have someone in your life who you think would be a great camp counselor or lifeguard, send them our way! And if they would like to ask some questions or learn more about Skye Farm before applying, we are always happy to chat over the phone or via email. |
Additional Summer Staff 2026 logistics to know:
Staff training starts Wednesday, June 17th for counseling and leadership staff and Sunday, June 21st for all other staff. Flexibility for students with regents exams or graduations is absolutely available.
Room & board is included for all summer staff positions! Laundry facilities are available at camp for staff for free.
The last day of work for most summer staff is Saturday, August 8th, with some positions continuing to support retreats later in August.
Each week, staff have time off from Friday evening to Sunday morning at 10am, in addition to breaks during the day throughout the week.
A Guide to Registering for Camp
The second of our ongoing “Frequently Asked Questions” video series covers the details of how to register your camper for summer camp at Skye Farm! This is a great video to share with folks who are sending a kid to camp for the first time.
Program Highlight: Voyagers
Our Voyagers program is an opportunity for our oldest campers to develop their leadership skills in a camp setting. Campers venture to ADK Extreme Adventure Park, serve the local community at a food pantry, work with younger campers, and leave their mark with camper-driven camp improvement projects.
This year, the program will be lead by Rev. Anna Blinn Cole, incoming District Superintendent for the Albany and Adirondack Districts. Anna shares this about leading the program:
"I'm excited to be the Dean at this year's Voyagers Camp, a week-long experience for high schoolers who want to grow leadership skills through hands-on projects that show God's love through community connections. We'll be combining your favorite Skye Farm Camp experiences with high-level conversations about how to grow in our own faith by serving alongside others. This camp is a great way for youth to get leadership experience all while being immersed in the awesomeness that is Skye Farm."
Voyagers runs during Week 2 of summer camp, July 5-10, and is open to campers ages 14-18. The cost is $650, and scholarship funds are available for those who need assistance. Spots are limited!

Thursday Crew News
The sound baffles we highlighted last month have been fully installed in Conklin Lodge! These should help decrease the echoes in this flexible program space.
Now being worked on in Conklin Lodge is a secret carpentry project members of the crew have been working on since the fall… to be revealed later this spring!

Other ongoing Thursday Crew projects include painting in Ogden Lodge, refinishing work on the floors of various summer camp cabins, repairs to various picnic tables, and the beginning of many of the typical post-winter repairs, including plans for a new roof for the marina shed after a branch cracked it this winter. Work on the improvements in Central Washhouse was also able to be resumed as camp has begun to thaw out in the past few weeks! We’re excited to show more of the Central project as it nears completion later this spring.
